Recommended & Essential Tools
Here are the tools that I use, therefore I highly recommended that you use them also.
This page details all of the various tools I use to plan, build and execute online marketing campaigns for my business projects. I personally use (or they are working behind the scenes) each of these tools every time I sit down at my computer. I thought it would be a helpful resource for anyone wanting to start a new blog or looking for new tools to help them scale their online business.
I will be updating this page periodically to include new tools I’ve tested and added to my arsenal 🙂 I will also be “doing” comprehensive tutorials for each of the tools on this list. Yes, since I really do USE and above all TRUST these tools I have chosen to “affiliate” with the designers of these tools. If you purchase or use them through the links on this page I will make a commission.
To me there are 4 “levels” of tools that I use. “MUST HAVE” – Preferred Tools – Optional Tools – Yesterday’s Tools
Below you will find the tools I use listed in a simple colored boxed format.
Blue Boxed Tools = MUST HAVE and essential tools. You simply can not run an effective online business without them.
Green Boxed Tools = Preferred Tools (After you get your “MUST HAVES” work towards getting these “preferred” tools to automate your business as much as possible.)
Yellow Boxed Tools = Optional Tools (These tools only help do either of two things. 1. Get more traffic. & 2. convert more visitors to subscribers or customers.)
Purple Boxed Tools = Yesterday’s Tools (These are tools that I have used in the past, great when your first starting out. I have upgraded from these tools for more robust tools.)
GetResponse – Collects Emails & Automates Marketing with email (3rd Party Service).
I just moved over to GetResponse from Aweber. Very impressed with the too. It offers more A/B capabilities, the UI is more user-friendly, it’s super easy to setup automated drip series (both behavior and time-based), it provides robust analytics and the customer support is the best I’ve ever seen. Every email is responsive and I can sub segment based on user behavior – email opened/ link clicked. It’s a powerful tool you can get your hands on at a very low monthly cost. Highly recommended!
What I like the most though, is the ability to EASILY disable double optins. Huge feature in my opinion.
Namecheap – They offer Domain Name Registration & for Several of my website they also provide Website Hosting (3rd Party Service).
I use Namecheap for almost every single one of my websites. Why? Because it’s incredibly easy to use with 1-click automatic WordPress installation. The customer service is excellent too – both phone and chat support.
Namecheap will also handle your email hosting which is very helpful. You can use the same hosting account for multiple domains if you plan on creating multiple websites. This is a great cost-effective shared hosting solution for smaller websites.

WordPress powers around 1/5 of all websites. Why? It’s flexible, open source, super easy to use and has an army of developers out there building plugins that make it easier to use every single day. These plugins add functionalities to your website without needing to hire an expensive programmer. As mentioned above, namecheap (and many other hosting companies) offer one-click WordPress installs which makes it super easy to get your site up and running in little time.
CloudFlare – This service will help you speed up your website (3rd Party Service).
Cloudflare is the largest CDN company in the world with servers spread across every corner of the globe. They are also the only free provider of CDN services.
